Sorry For Not Updating!

I have been very busy! But I will update you with some pictures and such now :) I'll start off by talking about the best thing I've seen since I've last updated. Conny, Eve, and I took the train to Cologne to go shopping and on the train they kept saying "You can't get lost in Cologne, you can always get to the dome which is right next to the train station." So, when we got off the train I expected to see a dome...not "The Dom". I had no clue it even existed until we left the train station and *bam!* there it was. And I must say it was one of the most amazing things I have seen in my entire life. I tried googling it to find a decent picture to put on here, but none of the pictures come close to doing it justice. My jaw literally dropped when I saw it. Above there is a picture of Eve and I in front of it and of Conny and I in front of it. You really don't see too much of the church though. It is HUGE! And so beautiful! I don't have too much time right now, but here's what each of the pictures are...
1. Baby Fritz and I :) When I was on holiday a few weeks ago
2. Conny and I at a club in Kassel
3. At a Butterfly Garden in Erfurt
4. On my laptop
5. Conny and I in front of the Dom
6. Eve and I in front of the Dom
7. Conny and I right before we went out clubbing

More pictures and updates to come soon!

What I'm doing this weekend...
Saturday: I'm going to Frankfurt and hanging out with Dan Hogan (a singer here in Germany)
Sunday: In the morning I'm going to Hannover to the sealife park (or the zoo, if it's sunny) and then I'm going to Hamburg in the afternoon :)

Much love!
I miss you all immensely!

For those of you who keep wanting to know what everyone looks like...
Top Picture (Florian) I couldn't find a more updated picture on his myspace page, this is from about a year ago, he now has blonde hair & no sunglasses. lol.

Bottom Picture (From Top To Bottom : Kristy, Antje, ...I can't remember his name...ooops!) Kristy is the one I'm usually hanging out with, Antje and her boyfriend Marcos went to dinner with me the other night, and their brother (why can't I remember his name??) came over Saturday night after we got back from the city. Antje dances in a group like the Pussycat Dolls and Kristy is doing her apprenticeship in business offices in the tower we went to the other day in they city :) The brother has an adorable chihuahua name Ooshi and Antje has a mini cairn terrier named Lexy (who loves me :))

Ok, ok. I know I've been really bad about posting...so here's a recap of my last few days.
Saturday
Kristy and I went and picked Florian up from his house and then drove the the city. It was very windy and was snowing...brrr!! The snow wasn't really sticking, but it sure was annoying when it hit you in the face. We walked around the mall for a bit and then we and got some coffee. Carmel Macchiatos...mmmm! We also bought some cookies and muffins. From there we went to a huge book store and then went to the top of a huge tower to look over the city...very cold!! And we discovered Florian is afraid of lifts (elevators). lol. It was quite entertaining. After the tower we went to a French art exhibition and then to sushi! I was very excited that they had California rolls in Germany :) After that we went to H&M and walked around for awhile before stopping by the market so Florian could buy stuff to make for lunch on Sunday. We then were too lazy to go out clubbing, so we went to bed and got some sleep. :)

Sunday
Kristy had to go to her grandmother's for lunch, so Florian came over to make me lunch. Since he's a vegetarian he made some Malaysian noodle thing, with rice noodles, onions, lemon grass, etc. and a salad, which was extremely good. He also made cocktails with coke and kumquats and limes and such...and some kind of alcohol, but I can't read German very well, so I don't know what it was. All I know is that it tasted good. Above is the recipe for the noodle thing, if you can decipher it, you should make it :) It was quite good. That night Antje and Marcos came over and we went out to Mexican food...and I was able to order without any help!! lol :) It was quite amazing!

Monday
I just lounged around all day since everyone was working. In the evening some people came over for dinner and we talked about politics and such. Nothing too out of the ordinary.

Tuesday
I went shopping in town to day by myself and survived!! I was able to communicate enough in German to buy a new purse, a planner, a birthday gift and card, a pen, a notebook, candy, and kinder eggs (for Ashley). I was quite impressed with myself. More people came over for dinner and the people who I hadn't met yet bought me an English-German translator. lol. Tomorrow I'm going to the fitness center and then to ice cream and then at 11pm Miriam and I are going to the disko where we will be until 7am...crazy huh?! I better get some zzz's in tonight!!

I hope this helped make up for the lack of updates.

I love you all!!

xoxo Lindsey

What I did yesterday & what I'm going to do today

Ok, so last night after I went to dinner with Hartmut and his family (the family I'm staying with on holiday). Christy took me out to a bar to meet some of her friends (Steven, Phillip, Manu, Thadeus, and I'm trying to remember the other 2's names...sorry if you're reading this!) So, we hung out there for a few hours and then decided to go to McDonalds. We also stopped by a club, but there weren't many people because it's a small town, so tonight we're going to one of the bigger cities. I'm about to leave with Christy again and we're going to go shopping and then going to celebrate Manu's birthday bowling and go to a club. ttyl!

I Went For A Walk This Morning...

What They Call Me...

For some reasons people in Germany have a hard time saying my name. They always ask if they can shorten it and I really don't mind, so I let them. I think some of the names are random, so I decided to compile a list of what I've been called so far. The funny thing is they're all names I'm NEVER called back home.

-Lindy
-Lizzy
-Lee
-Leeza
-Lily

I'm sure there will be plenty more later...I'll add them as I hear them :)
